Calgary Buyers Gain More Choices as Housing Inventory Grows

Calgary's real estate market saw a 15% drop in sales in January, with 1,234 homes sold and a surge in listings to 4,391, the highest in six years. Multi-family homes, especially apartments and rowhomes, faced the largest declines, with increased supply causing prices to fall. Single-family homes remained relatively balanced with slight price decreases. Apartments had over five months of supply, leading to an 8% year-over-year price drop.
